Diet Plans Of Top And Popular Athletes

Fitness has become an important aspect of our lives especially because our lifestyle and hectic schedules have been pushing us towards obesity and diseases. There is no denying the fact that every person should take out time to exercise and keep himself fit but for sportspersons, fitness is an integral part of their life and career. Fitness also depends a lot on the diet and today we are going to tell you about the diet plans of some famous athletes:

1. Virat Kohli:

It’s inevitable that Virat Kohli’s name will come up whenever a discussion on fitness will start as he is one of the fittest athletes of the world. In breakfast, the skipper of Indian cricket team likes to have one whole egg with three egg whites accompanied with cheese, spinach and black pepper. In case, he will be taking part in net sessions then he will have gluten free bread and nuts along with green tea with lemon. His lunch will comprise of spinach and mashed potatoes while in dinner he has seafood which may be grilled or boiled.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo:

The skipper of Portuguese football team and Juventus star is very particular about his diet. He eats six meals daily but none of them has salt and oil. Cristiano Ronaldo drinks only fruit juice that too in the morning in breakfast. He hits the gym 5 times in a week and also goes for swimming sessions and besides that he is very particular about his daily 8 hours sleep.

3. Serena Williams:

The American professional tennis player Serena Williams followed very strict diet when she wanted to make a comeback on court after her first baby in 2017. Her diet was completely vegan and had no sugar. It included lots of beans, nuts, sprouted quinoa and lentils. Her breakfast included oats with strawberries and tangerines. In lunch, she has salad that includes spinach, cherry tomatoes, onions, mandarin oranges, sliced almonds, etc. She also had snacks such as Ezekiel bread sandwich with almond butter and refreshing drink made of green tea, lemon juice and cinnamon. Serena’s dinner included salad, brown rice with chia seeds and hemp.

4. Roger Federer:

The day of the tennis star starts with digging his teeth in homemade waffles and compote made of fresh fruits. Bananas and snacks bar are an important part of his diet as they provide carbs and potassium. The Swedish star likes to have cheese along with the sweet dishes and 2 hours before every match he likes to have pasta with light sauce, something that he has been doing for 20 years of his life.

5. Lionel Messi:

Lionel Messi, the Argentine footballer who is the skipper of both Argentina national team and Barcelona club team follows the advice of Italian nutritionist Giuliano Poser when it comes to his diet. His diet is based on the foundation of five important foods – fresh fruits, vegetables, olive oil, whole grains and water. Nuts and seeds are also included in diet. But sugar has no place in the diet plan and over-consumption of meat is also barred.
