It’s an open secret that Pakistan promotes terrorism in India and it not only trains terrorists but also help them in infiltrating in India. But our brave Indian soldiers are always alert and ready to neutralize these terrorists just like Deputy Commandant CRPF Rahul Mathur who recently took life of a terrorist even when he was critically injured.

On Thursday at 3 am in the morning, the Quick Action Team (QAT) of CRPF and Special Operations Group of Jammu & Kashmir Police carried out a search operation as they had an intelligence input that 3 terrorists are staying at Firdousabad in Batmaloo, Srinagar.

When the joint party found that the gate of the target house is locked, the Deputy Commandant CRPF Rahul Mathur with one of his team members entered the house from the backside by scaling the wall. While they both were searching the house, a terrorist who was hiding inside the house opened fire on them. Rahul Mathur got wounded after he got shot at upper chest and abdomen but he ensured that the terrorist did not live to fire another bullet and Mathur neutralized him.

Rahul Mathur was admitted in the 92 Base Army Hospital, Srinagar, and though he was critical, there was still a smile on his face.

The official Twitter handle of CRPF posted the photo of Rahul Mathur from the hospital where he is admitted with caption, “If courage has a face, that’s how its smile would look: Sh. Rahul Mathur, DC #CRPF who neutralised terrorists even after suffering bullet injuries yesterday.”

The CRPF DG AP Maheshwari praised the Deputy Commandant CRPF Rahul Mathur for his exemplary courage and bravery that he showed during the operation.

The operation was stopped for some time as it was dark but the forces cordoned the house and the other two terrorists were also neutralized after the operation was resumed. Good amount of arms and ammunitions were recovered from the house and as per the statement of the J&K police, the three terrorists – Zakir Ahmad Paul, Ubair Mushtaq Bhat and Adil Hussain Bhat were associated with terror group Hizbul Mujahideen.

When the forces were sure of the presence of the mercenaries in the house, they gave them a chance to surrender but the terrorists replied with bullets. Unfortunately, a female civilian Kounsar Jan also lost her life when the first terrorist opened fire on Deputy Commandant CRPF Rahul Mathur and his accomplice.

We salute the brave soldiers like Deputy Commandant CRPF Rahul Mathur and pray for his speedy recovery.
