Hyderabad is one of the most developed cities of the country and yesterday it added one more beautiful gem in its cap. We are talking about the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge which is built across Durgam Cheruvu lake. It connects the Jubilee Hills with Madhapur and will play a major role in decreasing the congestion on the roads. What’s more, it will also improve the connectivity in some areas.

The hanging cable bridge which had already become very popular among the local people was officially opened for the public by KT Rama Rao, the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD). The Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy and Mayor Bonthu Rammohan also graced the event with their presence. Rao even took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and tweeted that one more jewel has been added to the City of Pearls. The atmosphere was already soothing because of the rainfalls and the dazzling fireworks made the occasion memorable.
