We are living in a world where life has become so fast paced that we don’t have time for even ourselves. We are not able to ensure that we live a healthy life, our lifestyle has been affected seriously and it is affecting our well-being in a big manner. Your body will warn you about these changes by giving small hints in the beginning but if you don’t understand or ignore it then you may need to take medical help in the future.
One of the most common ways by which our body warns us to change our lifestyle is hair-loss. However, hair-loss also takes place when someone falls ill and grows weaker or due to pregnancy, etc. but you should take effective steps in order to save hair as soon as possible. Here are some methods by which you can stop the hair-loss and re-grow the hair as well.
1. Don’t comb when hair is wet:
Many people are in a hurry to comb their hair as they come out of bathroom. Hair should not be combed when they are wet, you should wait for the hair to get dry because combing wet hair can harm the hair and increase baldness. Also make sure that you comb hair gently with a wide-tooth comb.
2. Massage your scalp:
Massage your scalp with the hair-oil is another very simple and natural way which can help in the re-growth of hair. Massaging will stimulate the muscles of the scalp which will also increase the thickness of the hair along with encouraging the growth of hair. Rosemary oil is said to be very helpful in treating the baldness and making it possible for the hair to re-grow in bald portions so you can use Rosemary oil for massaging your scalp.
Coconut oil is one of the best oils for massaging your scalp as it can decrease the loss of protein from hair. The coconut oil is known for making your hair grow faster and lushly, however the manner in which you should apply coconut oil depends on the quality of your hair. If your hair is oily in nature then apply for few hours and then wash your hair with shampoo but if you hair is dry in nature then you can leave it for overnight after applying it.
3. Check your diet:
Unhealthy diet can also be a reason of hair-loss and now you should ensure that your diet includes food items which are helpful in the growth of the hair. Some food items which you should include in your diet:
– Eggs: They should be a part of your diet as they are rich source of biotin and protein and both of them are very helpful in hair growth.
– Meat: Healthy hair requires protein and iron which is present in good amount in meat.
– Spinach: It is a very healthy green leafy vegetable which can play a good role in hair growth as it has iron, Vitamin A and folate.
– Fatty fish such as salmon: Fish has omega-3 and other fatty acids which are pretty good in increasing the density of the hair.
– Avocados: It may be a costly fruit but it is very good for hair growth as it has good amount of fatty acids, Vitamin E and C.
4. Get rid of dandruff:
If you are having dandruff then you need to get rid of it soon. Dandruff will make your scalp itchy and there may be wounds if you scratch your scalp too much which will eventually result in weakening of hair and then hair-loss will take place. Aloe Vera gel can be very helpful in dealing with dandruff, shampoos which contain aloe vera can also come very handy in reducing dandruff. Avoid anti-danduff shampoos which have good amount of chemicals as they may reduce dandruff in short term but in long term they can prove to be harmful for the skin of the head.
5. Vitamin D and hair loss:
Sometimes the deficiency of Vitamin D in the body is the reason behind the hair loss, so you can also visit your medical practitioner and ask for his advice. It may be possible that by taking Vitamin D supplements, consuming healthy diet and by enjoying sunrays you can solve the problem of your hair-loss.
6. Onion juice:
The smell of onion is certainly not a soothing one but applying onion juice or onion paste on the bald portion of your scalp can help in hair-growth. Onion juice is very good for improving the circulation of blood, you just need to apply it for 15-20 minutes and then you can wash your hair with shampoo.
7. Lemon:
Lemon juice can also be applied on the scalp as it not only boosts hair growth but also improves the quality of hair. Lemon juice can also be applied for 15-20 minutes before washing the hair with shampoo. Same benefits can be derived by adding some drops of lemon oil in the hair-oil which is used for massaging the scalp.
8. Ginger can also help in hair growth:
While ginger is known for making our food delicious, it can also be helpful in hair growth. Ginger is said to be a source of some bio-active compounds which can encourage the growth of hair. You can either apply ginger juice on the scalp or apply a ginger paste for 30 minutes before shampooing the hair. Please remember that you need to keep your head cover for the 30 minutes before getting it rinsed.
9. Use shampoo which has licorice:
Licorice is an herb which is mostly used for reducing cough or improve the condition of swelling, sore throats but you will be surprised to know that it is also helpful in hair growth. It also decreases the thinning of hair and help in getting healthy hair. There are quite a few herbal shampoos in the market which has licorice as an ingredient so go and buy one for yourself as soon as possible.
10. Take proper sleep:
Sleep also plays an important role in the hair loss. Those who are not able to take proper and sound sleep are more prone to hair loss. It is highly advisable to take a proper sleep otherwise a person may experience hair-loss along with obesity, heart problems, blood pressure, etc.
