Sushant Singh Rajput – A Look At His Life Journey, Success & Relationships
The year 2020 is getting worse day by day as yesterday, we got one more tragic news. The Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide and the 34 years old Kedarnath actor was found hanging at his Bandra apartment. It is being said that he was undergoing treatment for depression as some medicines have been found at his residence.
It is really sad that the wonderful actor took such a drastic step. Let us take a look at his life journey:
Sushant Singh Rajput is basically from Patna and he is survived by his father and four elder sisters. He lost his mother in the year 2002 when he was just 16 yrs of age. He was very close to his mother and her demise shattered him.
Sushant’s family shifted to Delhi in 2002 and after completing his school studies from Kulachi Hansraj Model School in New Delhi, Sushant joined Delhi College of Engineering for pursuing Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering branch.
During his college days, Sushant started taking part in theatrical and dancing activities which left him with very less time for studies. He took admission in Shiamak Davar’s Academy and also joined acting classes. He got the chance of performing as a background dancer in the 51st Filmfare Awards in the year 2005.
Next year in 2006, Sushant also got the chance to be a part of the dance troupe which performed in the 2006 Commonwealth Games that took place in Australia. By this time, Sushant was very busy in theatre and dancing. For the same, he decided to drop-out of engineering after completing three years of study.
Arrival in Mumbai:
Sushant Singh Rajput moved to Mumbai in order to pursue his dreams. He joined Ekjute theatre group where he worked for more than 2 years.
Sushant Singh Rajput was noticed by a team of Balaji Telefilms in 2008 while he was acting in a play of Ekjute theatre group. The actor gave audition and he was selected for the role of Preet Juneja in the serial, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. Though his role got over pretty soon, he was brought back in the form of a spirit as his character garnered pretty good fan following.
Sushant’s big break came when he was casted for the role of Manav Deshmukh in the serial Pavitra Rishta in 2009. In this show, he was casted opposite Ankita Lokhande and the serial became one of the most popular Indian TV shows. Sushant earned many awards for his acting performance in Pavitra Rishta and he became a household name in India.
Sushant Singh Rajput got his first break in Bollywood when he was casted in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che. audiences as well as critics applauded him for his performance. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story which was biopic of Indian cricketer MS Dhoni was a milestone in Sushant’s career. Sushant also did a supporting role in Aamir Khan starrer “PK”. Talking about his last theatrical release, it was Chhichhore which released in 2019.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie was Dil Bechara in which he worked with Sanjana Sanghi and the movie was directed by Mukesh Chhabra. It was released on a digital platform because all the cinema halls were closed at that time due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sushant was in a relationship with his Pavitra Rishta co-star Ankita Lokhande for six years. At one point of time, everyone thought that they both would tie the knot but they parted ways in 2016.
His name was also linked with his Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon! In fact, it was also said that Kriti was the reason behind Sushant’s break-up with Ankita. Presently, Sushant was said to be in a relationship with actress Rhea Chakraborty. But they both always maintained that they were just good friends.
A good human being:
Sushant was a man with golden heart and was ready to help others to the best of his capacity. In 2018, the Indian state of Kerala was battling with floods and a fan requested Sushant to donate some money as he didn’t have at that time. Sushant donated Rs. 1 crore on behalf of his fan in the Kerala relief funds. Later on, he also donated Rs. 1.25 crore to Nagaland which was also hit by floods.
