Kangana Ranaut Slams ErosNow For Vulgar Tweets Referring Navratri, Calls It P*rn Hub

The whole country is celebrating the festival of Navratri at the moment while following the safety protocols laid down by the government in order to save themselves from the coronavirus pandemic. Navratri as the name suggests is of nine days and Hindu community celebrates the festival with zeal and enthusiasm.

However, a streaming platform spoiled the mood of the Indians by posting some vulgar and obscene posts with reference to the festival of Navratri. ErosNow made some tweets of posters in which they featured some Bollywood actors such as Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ranveer Singh and wrote controversial sentences on them. In the poster featuring Salman Khan, it was written, “You need a dandi to play dandiya, I have one”, in the poster featuring Ranveer Singh, it was written, “Let’s have some majama in my pajama” and the one which featured Katrina read, “Do you want to put the ratri in my Navtratri?”

The netizens were quite aggravated at this act of the streaming platform and soon #BoycottErosNow started trending on the Twitter.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut also reacted to these controversial tweets and slammed ErosNow and she went on to the extent of calling all streaming platforms as P*rn Hub. In a series of tweets, she said that cinema should be preserve as a community viewing theatre experience rather than suitable only for personal viewing. She said that the streaming platforms are showing this type (s*xual,violent, arousing, etc) of content to increase their viewers but it is not only their fault as many people like to view such programs wearing headphones. She also talked about the importance of community viewing as it increases our awareness and we make conscious choices. The Queen actress also said that our conscience can be our censor as well.

On the other hand, ErosNow soon realized that they have made a mistake. They not only deleted the tweet containing the poster but also issued an apology on the micro-blogging site, Twitter. Here is the tweet posted by them:

If you remember sometime back, the jewelry brand Tanishq also faced the wrath of the netizens as many alleged that their ad promoted love jihad.

Kangana Ranaut has always been quite vocal in such matters despite the fact that the majority of the Bollywood likes to keep mum on these issues. She has also made many controversial statements in regard to the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case which is being investigated by the CBI as of now.
