Deepika Padukone Summoned By NCB, Is She Paying The Price Of Supporting JNU Students?

Deepika Padukone Summoned By NCB, Is She Paying The Price Of Supporting JNU Students?

The investigation which started with the suicide of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput is now resulting in sensational revelations every day. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has made some arrests in this case including the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty, the girlfriend of Sushant. It has been learnt that Rhea has provided a list of 25 Bollywood celebs to the NCB who procure and consume drugs and now the NCB has started summoning some big names of B-Town.

The NCB has sent summons to Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Deepika Padukone. There is no denying the fact that Deepika is the biggest Bollywood star who has been summoned in this case after her name emerged in the WhatsApp chats.

The Mastani of Bollywood is scheduled to give her statement on September 25 in front of the officials of the drug enforcement agency. She was shooting in Goa for an untitled movie of Shakun Batra and will be taking a chartered flight for Mumbai on Thursday. It is being said that she is in touch with a team of 12 lawyers through video conferencing and her hubby Ranveer Singh was also present in the conferencing.

While many are trolling the actress, there are few who feel that the Indian government is trying to take away the attention from important issues by harassing the Bollywood actress. Some also said that Deepika is experiencing this situation because she appeared in an event at JNU which didn’t go well with the Modi government. Deepika was slammed that time on the social media networks and her movie Chhapaak also fell flat on the box-office.

Karti P Chidambaram, the son of the Congress leader and former Finance Minister of India, P Chidambaram, tweeted about the summons sent to actresses. He alleged that the government is distracting public from real issues and targeting Deepika Padukone because she stood in solidarity with the students of JNU.

Hopefully, the drugs racket which seems to be pretty active in Bollywood will be exposed and punished.
