1. When They See Us (2019)

This American drama miniseries was based on 1989 Central Park Jogger Case in which five males were arrested and prosecuted for raping and assaulted a female. However, these five males were wrongfully convicted and the show focuses on the emotions that these five persons and their families go through during this period. In 2003, they filed a case against the city for convicting them wrongly and in 2014, a settlement was awarded to them. The show was loved by the audiences and it was praised more because of the superb acting of the cast.

2. Delhi Crime (2019)

This Emmy Award winning web series was based on the true story 2012 Nirbhaya rape case in which a girl was brutally raped in a moving bus in the capital city of the country, New Delhi. The series focuses on how the police team went about to nab the culprits who were responsible for this heinous crime. This case not only shocked India but the whole world and it was after seven long years the culprits were hanged.

3. F.R.I.E.N.D.S (1994-2004)

It is one of the most loved and most popular shows of the television industry and it is loved by all the generations. The story revolves around six friends who live in Manhattan and how these friends despite being very different from each other develop a strong bond of love and affection.

4. Lust Stories (2018)

It is a Hindi language anthology movie in which the viewers get to watch four different short movies which are directed by four different directors. However, what makes it different is that they depict the modern day relationships from the perspective of an Indian woman. The series was star studded with Kiara Advani, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, etc, playing the lead roles.

5. Narcos (2015-present)

The American crime drama is based in Colombia and it depicts the rise and fall of drug lord Pablo Escobar and the series also show how Escobar deals with other drug mafias, law enforcement agencies. The events in this series are shown from the viewpoint of an American Drug Enforcement Agent who is working in Colombia.

6. The End Of The F***ing World (2017-2019)

This is one of the best shows for the fans of British Dark humour, it is based on the comic series of same name written by Charles Forsman. The story revolves around a 17 yr old girl and a boy of same age who run away from their houses, while the girl wants to run away from her disturbing home life, the boy is sure that he is a psychopath and wants to kill the girl. However, on the trip after some mishaps they both start developing feelings for each other.

7. Sacred Games (2018)

This web series is the first original series of Netflix and it is based on the novel written by Vikram Chandra of same title. It was a huge success with Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte playing the lead roles. In the web series, Saif played the role of a troubled cop while Nawazuddin played the character of a gangster who challenges Saif to save Mumbai in 25 days.

8. 21 Sarfarosh Saragarhi (2018)

This web series was based on the battle of Saragarhi which was fought on 12 September 1897 between the 21 Sikh soldiers of 36th Sikh Regiment of British Indian army and approximately 10,000-14,000 Pashtun and Orakzai tribals. Actor Mohit Raina and some other actors were praised for their acting performance in the web series which was based on real-life incident.

9. Breaking Bad (2008-2013)

Breaking Bad is an American crime drama series which revolves around Walter White, a chemistry professor who get to know that he is suffering from terminal lung cancer. In order to arrange wealth for his family, he enters into methamphetamine drug trade with his former student and soon he becomes a big dealer. But soon, he has to face his family and the law enforcement agencies along with the other drug mafias.

10. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015-Present)

The American romantic musical comedy-drama series is about a young ambitious lawyer who lost her nerves when her junior is offered promotion while she was expecting it for herself. She moves to a small city in search of happiness with her former boyfriend but things are not so simple as it seem.

11. Ghoul (2018)

In this Indian horror web series, Radhika Apte plays the role of the lead character Nida Rahim who is appointed to interrogate a very dangerous terrorist. But things ugly as it was found that the terrorist is possessed by Ghoul because of which supernatural events are taking place and the terrorist is successful in exposing the interrogators.

This American black comedy is about a insurance salesman who has a pretty boring life with a wife who also doesn’t has much interest in living with him. 13. The Good Place (2016-Present)

The American fantasy comedy is based on the afterlife in which people are sent to either the good place or the bad place depending on how they lived when they were alive. However, Eleanor Shellstrop finds herself her in the good place after her demise and when she understands that she is there by mistake, she works pretty hard to hide her past. The Good Place was praised by critics for its originality, acting and writing.

14. Jessica Jones (2015-Present)

This series is based on the story of a super-powered woman who opens up a detective agency after her brief superhero career comes to an end. She suffers from a type of stress syndrome but she still wants to do something good however her main interest is to live her life.

15. Lost (2004-2010)

A group of people are left with no choice other than working together after they are stranded on a remote island after a plane crash. However, what makes it more difficult for them to survive is the presence of mysterious creatures.

16. Master of None (2015-Present)

This American comedy-drama series is all about a 30yr old actor Dev Shah and his professional, personal and romantic lives. The show has received many awards and recognition including three Emmy Awards and one Golden Globe.

17. Mindhunter (2017-Present)

This psychological thriller series is an adaptation of the book, “Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit” which was authored by Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas. In this show, two FBI agents along with a psychologist try to understand the thought process of the psychopath killers by taking their interviews so that they can get some help in the ongoing cases and future cases as well.

18. Orphan Black (2013-2017)

This science thriller is based on the cloning science and its ethical and moral implications. In the series, Sarah Manning who is a con artist witnesses the suicide of her doppelganger and she starts living the life of her doppelganger. But soon she comes to know that there are many other clones of her and somebody is trying to kill them and her as well.

19. The Walking Dead (2010-Present)

As the name suggests, this series is about Zombies and what all the remaining humans have to go through to survive in a world which is controlled by zombies. This series has a cult following and it eleventh season will be aired in 2021.

This Indian web series is about an Indian couple who lives in Mumbai and is in a live-in relationship. The show is all about the sweet and lovely moment and the problems which are faced by the couples.
